Everlast Protex2 Vinyl Training Gloves Review

I've been boxing for 10 years now. Tried just about everything. Generally, I think Everlast products are ok, but in most cases you pay for the name. The stuff in stores is generally not good quality, and the good stuff costs way too much.

Then I found these.

The Protex2 is probably the best "cheap" glove I have ever used. They feel good on your hands, have a broken-in feel right out of the package, and...if you need it...they just look cool.

The only problem I have with them is the velcro strap. I like the wrap around velcro, not the little strap on these.

But for the price, if you want to get someone a good starter glove, this would be the one I would recommend. Everlast overcharges for their products, but they found a great balance with this glove. Just enough good features, and a heck of a good price. They won't be my mainstay glove, but it just might encourage me to bite the bullet and get the Protex3 (which costs $199-YIKES!) The things we do for our hobbies.
